SCHOODIC ARTS FOR ALLis a non-profit organization that brings art and culture to the Schoodic Peninsula area and surrounding communities in Downeast Maine. Since 1999, we have provided music, art, dance, theatre, writing, crafts, poetry, sculpture, fiber arts, and jazz in performances and workshops at affordable prices. To encourage families to attend events together, children are admitted free to all 90 performances. We draw participants from the Schoodic area of coastal Maine, at the edge of Hancock and Washington Counties and beyond. Our home is located at the newly renovated Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor. The building has been painted, winterized and made handicapped-accessible. Much of the work has been done thanks to the generosity of volunteers who provided their labor. Our programs include workshops, performances and art shows, a community chorus, classical and jazz concerts, theatre ensembles, and a coffeehouse with live entertainment. We proudly sponsor two outstanding steel pan bands: an adult band, Schoodic Steel and a children's band, Pandemonium Down East. We are planning an International Sculptor's Symposium. Every year, our Schoodic Arts for All programs
include: 3100 tickets have been sold for Schoodic Arts Festival Performances. 650 households, both year 'round & seasonal, participate in Schoodic Arts events 630 enrollments participate in the Schoodic Arts Festival Workshops
