The annual Schoodic Arts Auction will kick off the 2010 Arts Festival on Sunday, August 1, starting at 3pm. Tables will begin closing at 5:30. Garry Levin, distinguished host, will again preside. Refreshments will be delicious.
Our spectacular event will showcase art, fine crafts, jewelry, wearables, decorative items, as well as services. We are looking for creative items (What do you do that someone will pay big $$ for?) and new practical donations (loam anyone?).
DONATED ITEMS UPDATE: From Rick Hauk, spacecraft commander of Discovery on STS-26, a framed a "cue" card with emergency procedures that attached to the "dashboard" of the shuttle. It flew on STS-7 with Sally Ride,and signed photo of the crew from that mission. Value at a Space Auction it would bring between $300 and $500. Bids to start at $300.
An original amethyst sea glass pendant specially made by Leesa at Striking Gold, Jewelry from sterling silver with gold highlights, glass from the beach across from the Prospect Harbor Lighthouse. Shadow silver applique of the lighthouse. To be valued at $450.

You may contact us at any time and Schoodic Arts volunteers will be contacting you. Donation forms will be available from our volunteers, on line at our web site, and at Hammond Hall. Please include brochures or business cards for display with you donation. Your business name will be featured at the event.
